"The staff of the Susan G. Komen Breast Center is commited to the good health of the women in our community.  This center is dedicated to the memory of Susan G. Komen, a native of Peoria, who died in 1980 after a three year battle with breast cancer.  The Susan G. Breast Komen Breast Center was founded in 1990 and is a screening and diagnostic mammography service hub for central Illinois.  We are dedicated to timely diagnostic and compassionate treatment of all breast problems.  It is the primary mission of the centers to encourage early diagnosis through screening mammography and promotion of breast self-examination education."
