After graduating from the University
of Illinois in Champaign Magna Cum Laude with
Distinction in Microbiology Dr. Brady continued his
education at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. His
medical degree was completed in 1978 and proceeded to a
residency position in Diagnostic Radiology at the
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After completing a
four year residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a one
year fellowship in Cardiovascular/Interventional
Radiology, Dr. Brady was certified by the American Board
of Radiology in 1982. Central Illinois Radiological
Associates in Peoria, Illinois recruited Dr. Brady in
1985 to be the Director of the Vascular/Interventional
Section of the Department of Radiology at OSF Saint
Francis Medical Center.
In 1987 Dr. Brady joined the
University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP).
He currently holds the title of Clinical Professor of
Radiology and Surgery with the College. In 1997 Dr.
Brady was awarded the Faculty of the Year Award at
UICOMP.
In 1992 it was decided that a
Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program should be
instituted at the University of Illinois College of
Medicine at Peoria and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Brady accepted the position of Program Director of
the Residency Program.
Dr. Brady’s dedication to teaching is
proven by his many publications in nationally recognized
journals, book chapters, scientific exhibits, and
presentations at the local and national level. He is
also a member of numerous societies including the
Society for Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology,
Radiological Society of North America, and the
Association of Program Directors in Radiology to name
just a few. Dr. Brady also serves on numerous committees
at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at
Peoria and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
