Dr. Fraser received his B.A. at the
University of California, Los Angeles in June 1978 and
his medical degree at George Washington University in
May 1982. His extensive medical training began at the
University of California, Los Angeles, Westwood, CA June
1982 - July 1983 where he completed a Surgery
internship. He served his residency in General Surgery
at the University of California, Los Angeles, Westwood,
CA July 1983 - June 1984 and a residency in Diagnostic
Radiology at George Washington University, Washington,
DC July 1984 - June 1987. Dr. Fraser went on to complete
a fellowship in Interventional and Vascular Radiology at
George Washington University July 1987-June 1988; a
Diagnostic Neuroradiology fellowship at the University
of South Florida, Tampa, FL July 1988 – June 1989; as
well as an Interventional Neuroradiology fellowship at
the University of California, San Francisco, CA in July
1991 – June 1993.
Before joining Central Illinois
Radiological Associates, Ltd., Dr. Fraser was an
Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of
California, San Francisco, CA from July 1991-1993. After
his fellowship, he accepted a position as Associate
Professor of Clinical Radiology and Neurosurgery and
Director of Interventional Neuroradiology, University of
Miami, Miami, FL July 1993 - June 1994.
Dr. Fraser is certified by the
Diplomat National Board of Medical Examiners, the
American Board of Radiology and holds a Certification of
Added Qualification in Neuroradiology with the American
Board of Radiology.
His dedication to teaching is
displayed by his many publications. Dr. Fraser has
authored 3 book chapters and multiple publications in
nationally recognized Journals. In addition, he has
presented numerous papers and lectures at national and
international scientific meetings.
Dr. Kenneth W. Fraser is currently the president of
Central Illinois Radiological Associates, Ltd. He holds
the position of Clinical Professor of Radiology,
Neurosurgery and Neurology at the University of Illinois
College of Medicine at Peoria.
