Dr. McKinney received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1993 at the UOMHS College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery (COMS) in Des Moines, Iowa where he was awarded the national Alumni Award. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria in 1998.

Dr. McKinney is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, and a member of the Peoria Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, American Medical Association, Roentgen Ray Society, RSNA, American Osteopathic Association, and American College of Radiology.

The author and co-author of several bibliographies, Dr. McKinney’s most recent publication was in the Student Doctor in 1993.
