Dr. Jan Namyslowski earned his medical degree from the renowned Warsaw Medical Academy in Poland, a medical school in existence since 1857. Having graduated in 1981, he received surgical training from Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn and radiological training from Boston University School of Medicine and Boston City Hospital. Dr. Namyslowski completed an ACGME-approved Fellowship in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at Tufts University School of Medicine – New England Medical Center Hospitals in Boston. He is Board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and possesses a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Namyslowski brings to CIRA more than 15 years of experience in vascular and interventional radiology. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials, including a co-investigator in the Pivotal Trial of the Zenith Abdominal Aortic Endograft; Intratherapeutics Renal Stent Trial and many others. Dr. Namyslowski has performed a breadth of arterial and venous as well as a wide spectrum of non-vascular interventions throughout his career, most recently at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis where he has been an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology. He is delighted to have been able to bring his expertise to Peoria.

Dr. Namyslowski’s areas of expertise and interest include endovascular treatment of atherosclerotic disease with main emphasis on visceral, carotid and peripheral interventions; treatment of aneurismal disease and endovascular therapies for portal hypertension.

Dr. Namyslowski has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers, teaching publications and book chapters. He has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific conferences around the world. He has trained more than 30 vascular and interventional radiology fellows and introduced many more radiology residents to the specialty.

Dr. Namyslowski is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe. He has been elected to the Fellowship status by both societies. Dr. Namyslowski is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society. Dr. Namyslowski is listed Honored Among America’s Top Physicians 2004/2005.
