Dr. Pattekar graduated in 1992 at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, India. He completed is M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics in 1997 at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. He served his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI and completed a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Saint Louis, MO. Board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2002.

Dr. Pattekar is a member of several professional memberships such as:

• American Roentgen Ray Society
• American College of Radiology
• American Society of Emergency Radiology
• Association of University Radiologists
• Association of American Radiologists of Indian Origin

He also has authored multiple publications for peer-reviewed medical journals and lectures nationally as well as internationally; and has received many awards for his exhibits and academic excellence.
Dr. Pattekar joined Central Illinois Radiological Associates in 2003.
