Dr. Slimack received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in May 1969. He completed a one-year internship at the Orange County Medical Center, University of California, Irvine from 7/1/1969-6/30/1970. Dr. Slimack went on to complete his residency at the University of California, Irvine in June 1973. He served as chief resident of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine during the 1972-1973 year.

Dr. Slimack is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and previously a recipient of the AMA “Physician’s Recognition Award”. Dr. Slimack is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Illinois State Medical Society, American Medical Association, Illinois State Radiology Society, American College of Radiology, Society of Nuclear Medicine, Radiological Society of North America, Central Illinois Radiological Society and served as President of the Kankakee County Medical Society from 1986-1987.

Dr. Slimack joined Central Illinois Radiological Associates October 1, 2007.
