Dr. Wentz received his BS-medicine from the University of North Dakota in 1964 and his doctor of medicine from the University of Iowa in 1966. He served an Internship at Wayne County General Hospital, Eloise, Michigan in 1967 and a Radiology Residency at the University of Iowa from 1969 to 1972. He is board certified in radiology.

He joined Peoria Radiology Associates in 1972 as a Diagnostic Radiologist and is active staff in the Radiology Department at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, Illinois Medical Society, Peoria Medical Society, and the Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Wentz is involved with Radiology Resident and Medical Student teaching and lectures for the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. In addition, he is the Director of the Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Teaching Division for the Radiology Residency program.

He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
